The day after

Things are looking up. Its about 20 after 11 and we are waiting for the doctor to come.    Her blood pressure & blood counts are looking much better.  Still a little low, but to a level that the Dr. is happy with.  Julie was able to be out of bed long enough to take a shower and we are very hopeful that he will clear us to go home.We have plans to celebrate Christmas today!!

I can"t tell every one enough how much all of your support means to us!!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the Facebook messages, blog comments, texts, and phone calls,  Most of all for the prayers.  It is amazing to know that we have as much support as we do.

I ask that you continue to pray for us in the coming days.  I know that we still have some emotional battles to fight.  Just this morning a lab tech came to draw blood and asked cheerily about "our Christmas baby".  We just stared at her for a minute thinking, she can't be serious!  But she didn't know & we had to tell her we lost our Christmas baby.  I'm sure this is just the first of many encounters we will have to deal with.

This however was our only negative experience with the Zeeland Hospital Doctors & Nurses.  They have all been amazing!  Offering meaningful comfort & professional help.  So many of them have cried with us & have the 'right' things to say.

Our hearts go out to all the parents who deal with this with their first child.  We can't imagine what that would be like.  We still get to go home to our beautiful, healthy, busy 2 year old.  Without knowing it she adds so much joy to this experience.

Hope you all had a Great Christmas!!!

Time for us to start ours!

Unbelievably Thankful,
Justin Julie, and Emerson

  1. Brother,
I cant tell you how heartbreaking it is to hear of your loss. People will continue to say absolutely insane stuff to you without even knowing it, and others will coincidentally bless you deeply. -My wife and I lost our 22 week old baby girl 'Abby' the early morning of her birth 10-Nov-2003. It's never the same, but it is. And only a few will ever know.
Blessings and GRACE over you guys now, and in the coming days. We will continue to hold you up in our prayers. If you need anything, food, fellowship, or help around the house, let us know.
    Semper Fidelis,
-Carl (Ssgt. Hilton) and Tribe. (Grace, Noah, and Luke.)
